The Roadrunner vehicle height restrictor is designed to restrict access to vehicles under 2.1 m high, on roadways from either 4.5m to 7.0m wide.
The main framework is constructed from electro-statically spray painted and powder coated mild steel, finished in traffic yellow colour as standard, and designed to be cast into concrete footings.
The cross-frame is constructed similarly, but is hinged on the one post and locked (via marine quality padlock) to its opposite post. From the cross-frame is suspended an extruded aluminium nudge bar. This is finished in alternate yellow and black stripes, and is located at a standard height of 2.1m above floor level.
A PVC warning sign is affixed above stating the clear headroom available.
Should access be occasionally required by high sided vehicles, the cross-frame assembly may be unlocked and swung through 90 degrees in either direction. However, should this be a regular occurrence, we suggest that the optional hold open post be specified which allows the Roadrunner to be locked in its open position, and also that the low level locking mechanism be ordered, as this simplifies and speeds this operation when frequently performed.
Roadrunner can also be manufactured to suit non standard road-widths below or greater than the standard sizes. Height restriction can also be varied by +100mm or500mm at no additional cost, with other options available to order.
We can also finish Roadrunner in non-standard coolers to match site or corporate identity as a further low cost option.
Every Roadrunner is designed for easy installation and full fixing instructions are supplied. However, if required we can arrange for installation, including for all civil work to be undertaken by our own engineers.
Where installed by our engineers, the Roadrunner is covered by our standard 12 months parts and labour warranty.
